Sacramento Filipino American Lawyers Association (SacFALA) presents Pinay Powerhouse 9: ILAW
The time has come again for the annual Pinay Powerhouse Conference. This year, the Sacramento Filipino American Lawyers Association (SacFALA) is hosting. The conference is titled ILAW (Light), based on the Filipino adage that mothers are ilaw ng tahanan (light of the home). Applied broadly, we Pinays have been an ilaw not only in the home but also in government, politics, the community, and the workplace. Our light is far-reaching!
To that end, our keynote's theme is Liwanag (Luminescence), and the keynote speaker is the Hon. Tani Cantil-Sakauye, the 28th Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court and currently the President and CEO of the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC).
Students attend the conference free of charge! Please note that even as a student, a ticket is still required for other portions of the weekend, including the Welcome Mixer, Post-Conference Dinner, and Farewell Brunch.

SacFALA is expanding access to the Pinay Powerhouse Conference by offering it to law students, undergraduate students, and high school students, particularly those under the mentorship of the California Legal Pathways Collaborative (www.calawyers.org), free of charge.
